Camelot Maritime Ship&Crew&Training is now able to offer a new Service “On Board Assessment and Training” to its Customers. This service is provided by well trained and experienced Multinational Trainers – Assessors.
- STCW Convention – Regulation I/6
The training and assessment of seafarers, as required under the Convention, are administered, supervised and monitored in accordance with the provisions of section A-I/6 of the STCW Code for the type and level of training and assessment involved. The staff responsible for the training and assessment of competence of seafarers, as required under the Convention, are appropriately qualified in accordance with the provisions of section A-I/6 of the STCW Code for the type and level of training or assessment involved.
- Assessors
Our Assessors are appropriately qualified and experienced for the type and level of training provided making sure for the ability of candidates to perform a task, duty or responsibility properly. Assessments are carried out on the basis of procedures that have been carefully developed, reviewed and approved prior to the assessment. Assessors observe the Seafarer’s performance and determine the outcome of the assessment.
- Quality Standards System
In accordance with Regulation I/8, Section A-I/8 of the STCW Code, all training, and assessment of competence are continuously monitored through a quality standards system (QSS) to ensure achievement of defined objectives, including those concerning the qualifications and experience of instructors and assessors. QSS Covers the training courses, programs and facilities, training course instruction, examinations and assessment, qualification and experience of authorized instructors, assessors and examiners and review and assessment of the training management system. While conducting an assessment, the assessor evaluates a candidate’s ability to meet predefined assessment objectives and perform accordingly.
